New Planning Director announced

Fishburn Hedges has announced that it has hired Lisa Story as its new Planning Director.

Lisa has more than 14 years' consultancy experience, having started her career in planning at Porter Novelli. She then switched to Weber Shandwick to establish a planning function. There, as Director of Strategic Planning UK & Europe and later Head of Strategy for Europe , she worked with major brands including Unilever, Microsoft, Braun, Coca-Cola, the European Parliament and Nestlé. Most recently she has freelanced for a range of PR and advertising agencies.

Simon Matthews , chief executive at Fishburn Hedges, said: “Planning, both strategic and creative, has always sat at the heart of Fishburn Hedges. As the environment toughens we see clients placing a premium on work which delivers against clearly-defined business objectives. Lisa’s arrival will boost our long-standing capabilities in this area.

“Really good planners are like gold dust, so we’re particularly delighted that someone of Lisa’s calibre is joining us”.

Lisa Story said: “For too long rigorous planning has often been a nice-to-have adjunct to PR activity which seeks only to make noise, regardless of what it says or whom it reaches. Therefore I am delighted to be joining a team that already considers strategic planning integral to the PR process and where my role will be to help raise the bar rather than start from first principles”.
