HM Revenue & Customs appoints Fishburn Hedges

Following a competitive pitch, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has appointed Fishburn Hedges to create a campaign to encourage students to understand more about tax, and to enable them to manage their tax affairs better.

The FH Group offering combined the forces of Fishburn Hedges, 77PR, design consultancy FHD and FH’s in-house Studio to create an integrated communications campaign, comprising digital, stakeholder and media relations, and the creation of new collateral including a student-dedicated website and print materials for distribution on campus.

Fishburn Hedges director Chris Reed says:

“We’re delighted to be working with HM Revenue & Customs on this extremely worthwhile campaign. Understanding the attitudes and behaviour of the student audience, as well as their environment was key to our strategy and we will be working with important stakeholders such as the NUS and universities themselves to ensure the campaign’s success.”

Ayesha Owusu-Barnaby, Individuals Team Leader, Marketing & Communications at HM Revenue & Customs, commented:

“With three quarters of the student population in employment, it’s vital to ensure that students are informed about their tax obligations and what they can expect from the system. We are hopeful that this campaign, which approaches students through a range of channels and media, will enable us to meet that need.”
